My Details
Carlo Ribaux
my name is carlo ribaux.

playing drums has been quite an adventure for me. i started out at the age of 11 and ever since took every opportunity to play in bands, no matter what style or genre they were playing.

my musical journey took me to three different schools for music: the school of jazz in st.gallen, the zurich university of the arts (where i studied pop/rock music) and finally the well known berklee college of music in boston where i had the honor to be put on the "dean's list" after the first semester. i thankfully received the generous "ambassadorial scholarship" by rotary international which enabled me to take the opportunity of attending this amazing college!

in this past years i also had the pleasure to start promoting the companies SJC DRUMS and SUPERNATURAL CYMBALS, two extraordinarily dedicated enterprises that both offer unbelievable good sounding instruments.

this is what some of the people i've met along my way have to say about me:

I would like to introduce you to an outstanding artist and recent Berklee honors graduate, Carlo Ribaux. (...) his ability as a performer and passion as an artist are indispensable.
-Roger H. Brown, President of Berklee College of Music

Carlo came to me from Switzerland half a year ago. In that time he has managed to impress me with his dedication, spirit, natural talent and his ability to integrate a world of influences into his music and percussion playing. Not to mention the respect he receives from his fellow musicians. I offer the highest of recommendations for Carlo Ribaux and I consider him to be exceptional in his field and someone who contributes enriching the international musical culture. After working with Carlo I can say that he is, indeed, one of the most important musicians of this new generation.
-Jamey Haddad, drummer and percussionist for Simon and Garfunkel, Yo Yo Ma, Nancy Wilson, Dave Liebman and many more

The collaboration with Caro Ribaux was always very professional and satisfying. Most of the drummers either produce a very good sound, perform marvelous pieces of music or are very creative. Carlo Ribaux himself has developed all three of these skills. Moreover, Carlo Ribaux is incredibly disciplined, shows a lot of pleasure playing and has a very cheerful character. His creativeness and strong influence on the compositions and the general sound of the band are very precious and unique.
-Roman Frischknecht, who recorded, engineered and produced for rapper bligg, mastering engineer dan suter, film-scorer alex kirschner and many more

I have known Carlo for two years now, since he played his first session as a drummer during the two-day entrance exams of our pop-program, where he revealed his absolutely astonishing musical talent on and off the drumset. I have ever since watched his musical abilities skyrocket with his outstanding work in our classes. I consider Carlo to be one of the most promising young Swiss musicians, being both a creative drummer live and in the recording studio and a producer/songwriter. His work speaks for itself - he is enormously talented and I am proud and honoured to call him my student and my friend. I believe that he will be a valuable addition to the music community in the United States of America.
-Heiko Freund, co-founder of HitHouse Productions which received several gold and platinum awards in different countries and principal of the Pop-departement of Zurich University of the Arts
